Chilling threats to free speech on campuses

Fox News and other sources have reported a story about a college professor who called campus police after one of her students made a presentation in class that supported the right of students to be armed on campus.

See the original story about this
HERE .
Even college newspapers are expressing their outrage over this attack on his free speech rights, and on intellectual censorship - HERE.
This is exactly why KC3 is working to change the law here in Kentucky so that CCDW permit holders can carry legally on school grounds. We have to change the climate on campuses at all levels of education so that students and other adults aren't treated like criminals for refusing to be victims, and for espousing their point of view. Children have to learn that guns aren't bad, and that responsible gun ownership saves lives.
You can do a lot to help change this. Support KC3's petition drive by emailing us to get copies of our petition, then having other citizens sign it and mailing it back to us. We'll be presenting these to the Governor and the General Assembly to show your support for the bill that we intend to file in the 2010 session that makes the necessary changes in our laws.
You can also support the grass-roots student organization Students for Concealed Carry on Campus by going to their web site HERE and seeing what you can do to assist them in their efforts to make it legal to refuse to be a victim while at school.
Protecting our kids is just part of the equation. We have to make sure that gun-phobic teachers and administrators aren't poisoning their minds against gun ownership as well. It's going to take a lot of work and we need your help to make it happen.
